General conditions for using the site and purchasing Taploe products.
Last updated: July 8, 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern access to, browsing of and use of taploe.com, as well as the purchase, activation and use of products and services offered by Taploe, including NFC cards, metal NFC cards, digital profiles, QR codes, the Taploe platform, Taploe Pro and team solutions.
By browsing this site, placing an order, creating an account, activating a card, using a digital profile, subscribing to Taploe Pro or requesting a team solution, you accept these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you should not use Taploe's site, platform, products or services.
1. Definitions
Taploe means the brand, website, platform, physical products, digital profiles, NFC cards, digital services and related solutions. Customer or user means any person or entity that browses the site, purchases products, creates an account, activates cards, manages profiles or uses Taploe services.
Taploe platform means the digital system used to activate cards, manage digital profiles, update information, upload logos, view metrics, configure links and use features available under the purchased product or plan.
NFC Business Card means a physical card with NFC technology and/or a QR code that opens a digital profile, link or configured resource. Digital profile means an editable digital page where the customer can display and update professional information, contact details, social links, buttons, photos, logos, QR codes and other available elements.
2. Acceptance and site use
By using the site, placing an order, activating a card or using the Taploe platform, the customer accepts these Terms and confirms they have legal capacity to hire Taploe products and services. If the customer acts on behalf of a company, organization, team or third party, the customer confirms they are authorized to accept these Terms for that entity.
Users agree to use the site legally, appropriately and in accordance with these Terms. Users must not use the site for illegal, fraudulent or misleading activity, interfere with the site or platform, attempt unauthorized access, copy Taploe content without authorization, upload malicious files, impersonate others or use Taploe forms or services for spam, phishing or abusive activity.
Taploe may limit, suspend or cancel access if misuse, suspicious activity, breach of these Terms or risk to other users is detected.
3. Products and services
Taploe may offer standard NFC cards, metal NFC cards, digital profiles, QR codes, access to the Taploe platform, activation and linking of cards, logo personalization, basic logo cleanup or vectorization when applicable, Taploe Pro, analytics, custom links, campaigns, team solutions, profile and user administration, support, setup or related services.
Features, prices, availability, delivery times, functions and conditions for each product or service may be shown on the site, quote, commercial proposal, email or official Taploe communication. Taploe may update, modify, replace, limit or discontinue products, services, features, prices or conditions when necessary.
4. Taploe platform and digital profiles
The Taploe platform is the main place to activate cards, manage digital profiles, update information, configure links, upload logos and use features available under the purchased product or plan.
The customer is responsible for reviewing, uploading, modifying and keeping profile information current. Taploe is not responsible for errors, omissions or outdated information when it was uploaded, modified or approved by the customer.
Profile information may be public or accessible to anyone who scans the QR code, taps the NFC card or opens the profile link. Customers must not publish illegal, false, misleading, fraudulent, defamatory, discriminatory, violent, explicit, phishing-related, malware-related, spam-related, infringing, unauthorized or harmful content. Taploe may suspend, hide, limit or remove profiles that violate these Terms.
5. Profile updates and card activation
Digital profile information is editable from the Taploe platform according to the features available for each product or plan. Customers may update their information without replacing the physical card as long as the card remains correctly linked to the digital profile.
NFC cards may require activation or linking through PIN, code, link, account, token or another method defined by Taploe. The customer is responsible for following activation instructions correctly. Taploe is not responsible for delays or activation failures caused by incomplete information, incorrect data, misuse of a PIN or activation link, unauthorized attempts, spam filters, internet issues, incompatible browsers, unsupported devices, lack of customer response or customer configuration errors.
6. NFC cards and QR codes
Taploe NFC cards can open a digital profile, link or configured resource through NFC and/or QR code. NFC operation may depend on device model, operating system, NFC compatibility, phone settings, reader location, physical card condition, thick or metallic cases, interference, internet connection, browser, permissions and manufacturer restrictions.
Taploe does not guarantee NFC operation on every device, model, operating system or condition. For this reason, cards may include a QR code as an alternative way to access the digital profile. The customer is responsible for verifying that QR codes work correctly when previews are provided or profile information is updated.
7. Card personalization and logos
Taploe cards may offer personalization options according to the alternatives available on the site or quote. Standard card personalization is limited to use of the customer's logo within a Taploe-defined template, design or structure.
The customer is responsible for uploading a correct, authorized logo in the best available quality. Taploe is not responsible for claims arising from unauthorized use of logos, trademarks, trade names, symbols, images or third-party protected elements.
Taploe may reject low-quality files, screenshots, blurry or pixelated images, poorly cropped images, unauthorized material, third-party marks without permission or offensive or illegal content. If a logo requires technical cleanup, improvement, adaptation or basic vectorization for production, Taploe may perform those adjustments, but this does not include brand redesign, brand identity creation or advanced branding services unless quoted separately.
8. Custom design limits and approvals
Standard Taploe products do not allow full customer-designed cards for production unless Taploe expressly offers that option through a special quote or service. Taploe may reject requests to print a fully custom design, move all elements freely, use an external template, change the full card structure or add unsupported graphics, patterns or backgrounds.
When Taploe provides a preview, digital proof, mockup, proposal or visual confirmation, the customer must review it carefully before approval. The customer should verify logo, spelling, logo placement, card type, finish, quantity, QR code, linked profile, visible information, shipping details and selected product. Once approved, the customer authorizes Taploe to begin production, and Taploe is not responsible for customer-approved errors.
9. Production appearance
Colors, finishes, textures, brightness, contrast, engraving, printing and final appearance may vary from what is shown on screens, mockups, photos or digital previews. Variations may result from material type, card finish, lighting, screen settings, print or engraving process, material texture, file limitations or normal production differences.
10. Taploe Card and Taploe Pro
Taploe Card refers to the initial option to start using Taploe through a physical NFC card or digital profile, depending on the selected product. It may include a standard NFC Business Card, Metal NFC Business Card, digital profile, QR code, platform access, card activation, profile linking, logo personalization and editable information.
Advanced features, metrics, campaigns, custom links or reports may require Taploe Pro or an additional plan. Taploe Pro is a monthly upgrade per user, card or profile and is not a physical card. Taploe may add, modify, limit or remove Pro features when needed for technical, commercial, security or service-improvement reasons.
11. Metrics, analytics and campaigns
Metrics, visits, clicks, contacts, campaigns or reports available in Taploe Pro or team solutions are collected and displayed from the Taploe platform. Metrics may depend on browsers, ad blockers, privacy settings, cookies, VPNs, operating systems, devices, internet networks, third-party services, load errors or platform restrictions.
Metrics are reference tools to help customers analyze profile use and do not guarantee sales, leads, contacts, conversions or business results. Customers are responsible for ensuring that configured links are correct, legal, secure and authorized.
12. Subscriptions
Taploe Pro may be billed monthly per user, card or profile. Price, renewal, cancellation, scope and payment method will be shown on the applicable page, quote, proposal or commercial communication. Non-payment may cause suspension, limitation or cancellation of Pro features.
13. Taploe for teams
Taploe for teams is a custom solution for companies, groups, departments, sales teams, HR teams, events, agencies, institutions or organizations that need to manage multiple profiles and cards. Scope, pricing, timelines, deliverables and conditions are defined by quote, proposal, contract, email or commercial agreement.
The business customer is responsible for providing correct and authorized information for its team members, informing them about Taploe use, obtaining internal authorizations, reviewing each profile, keeping information current, requesting removals or changes, administering permissions and preventing misuse of third-party information.
14. Accounts, security and compatibility
The customer is responsible for keeping credentials, passwords, PINs, activation links, tokens and authentication methods confidential. Taploe may implement security, verification or account recovery measures, but is not responsible for unauthorized access caused by customer negligence, shared passwords, compromised devices or internal customer errors.
Taploe seeks compatibility with modern iPhone and Android devices, but does not guarantee identical operation on every device. NFC, QR, digital profile, platform, Wallet, links or advanced features may depend on phone model, operating system, browser, security settings, updates, internet connection, NFC compatibility, user permissions and third-party restrictions.
15. External services
Taploe may interact with or link to external services such as WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Google, Apple, Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, calendars, external websites, payment gateways, shipping providers, email providers, hosting services, analytics tools, browsers and operating systems.
Taploe does not control external services and is not responsible for changes, blocks, interruptions, errors, restrictions, policies, availability or operation of third-party platforms. Customers are responsible for complying with the terms of each external platform they use or link from a profile.
16. Payments, taxes and billing
Prices are shown in U.S. dollars for the United States market unless another currency is indicated. An order begins only when payment has been confirmed, required information is complete, the logo has been uploaded when applicable, the profile has been configured or required data provided, the shipping address has been confirmed when applicable, and any required preview has been approved.
Taploe may accept payments by card, transfer, payment link, payment gateway or other available methods. Payments may be subject to validation, anti-fraud review, bank confirmation, third-party fees or manual review. Taploe may cancel orders in case of rejected payment, unconfirmed payment, suspicious activity, pricing error, missing information or breach of these Terms.
Prices may be shown with or without taxes as indicated on the site, quote or commercial communication. Customers requesting invoices must provide correct and complete billing information within the timeframe indicated by Taploe.
17. Promotions
Taploe may offer promotions, discounts, bundles, coupons or special pricing. Promotions may be time-limited, product-specific, non-cumulative, subject to availability, subject to change without notice and subject to particular conditions. Taploe may cancel or adjust promotions in case of technical error, misuse, fraud or breach of conditions.
18. Production, shipping and delivery
Production times are estimates and may vary due to product type, quantity, material availability, logo review, logo improvement or vectorization, customer approval, operational load, requested changes, holidays, technical issues or external services.
Shipping times are estimates and depend on external parcel, courier or logistics services. Taploe is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, incorrect addresses, recipient absence, extended zones, customs, weather, accidents, theft or loss by third parties, holidays, rescheduling, logistics restrictions or events outside Taploe's control. If a package is returned due to incorrect information, refusal, absence or delivery impossibility, reshipping may generate additional costs.
19. Changes, cancellations and refunds
Customers may request changes or cancellations before an order enters production, personalization, configuration or preparation. Once production, personalization, engraving, printing, activation, linking, digital configuration or order preparation has started, cancellation may not be possible without cost.
Because Taploe products are personalized, physical and digital, refunds are not available for custom NFC cards, metal cards, printed cards, engraved cards, configured digital profiles, generated QR codes, completed services, orders in production, customer-approved orders, prepared files, adapted or vectorized logos, digital configurations, activations, links, activated Taploe Pro, started subscriptions, configured team services, products affected by incorrect customer information or products affected by customer-approved errors.
Taploe may offer replacement, correction or a reasonable solution only when an error is directly attributable to Taploe and the customer reports it within the established timeframe.
20. Defects and warranty
The customer must review the order upon receipt. Any physical defect, production error or Taploe-attributable issue must be reported within the first 7 calendar days after receiving the product. The report should include order number, clear product photos, a description of the issue, packaging evidence when applicable and video of the NFC or QR issue when applicable.
The warranty does not apply to misuse, impact, scratches, bending, contact with liquids, extreme heat, third-party alterations, normal wear, attempted modification, customer-provided information errors, previously approved errors, device incompatibility, use outside recommended conditions or external service failures.
21. Proper use
Customers agree to use Taploe legally, professionally and appropriately. Cards, profiles, links, QR codes or Taploe features must not be used to share illegal content, fraudulent content, false information, phishing, malware, scams, explicit sexual content, hate speech, threats, harassment, copyright-infringing content, unauthorized trademarks, confidential third-party information, personal data without authorization or activities prohibited by law.
Taploe may suspend, hide, limit or remove profiles, links, campaigns, accounts or access that violate these conditions.
22. Intellectual property
Customers keep rights to their trademarks, logos, photos, trade names, texts, designs, links and materials provided to Taploe or uploaded to the platform. By submitting content, the customer confirms they have the rights, licenses, authorizations or permissions needed to use it and authorizes Taploe to use, adapt, edit, prepare, vectorize, print, engrave, publish, configure or display that content only to provide the hired service.
The Taploe website, platform, design, interface, software, brand, logo, texts, images, templates, code, structure, graphics, features, processes and materials belong to Taploe or their respective owners. Customers do not acquire ownership rights over the platform, software, technology, base design, templates, system, processes or Taploe brand.
23. Samples and portfolio
Unless the customer requests otherwise in writing, Taploe may use photos, mockups, images, non-sensitive examples or samples of finished products for portfolio, social media, website, sales presentations or promotional materials. Taploe will not publish sensitive confidential information when the customer has expressly indicated this in writing.
24. Privacy
Personal information is handled under Taploe's Privacy Notice. The customer acknowledges that Taploe may require personal information such as name, email, phone, role, company, photo, logo, links, shipping address, tax information, contact details and team member information to provide services.
25. Availability and feature changes
Taploe seeks to keep the site and platform available and secure, but does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or permanent operation. Service may be affected by maintenance, updates, technical failures, cyberattacks, server issues, external services, internet outages, provider changes, software errors or causes outside Taploe's control.
Taploe may add, modify, improve, replace or remove digital features to improve experience, security, stability or business strategy. Some features may change name, design, availability, scope or conditions.
26. Suspension or termination
Taploe may suspend, limit or cancel services, accounts, profiles, links, Pro features or access when the customer breaches these Terms, fails to pay, engages in fraudulent activity, uses prohibited content, creates security risks, affects third parties, misuses the platform, violates intellectual property rights or when a legal or authority request exists. Suspension or cancellation for breach does not require Taploe to issue refunds.
27. Errors
Taploe seeks to show correct information on the site, but typographical, technical, visual, pricing, availability or description errors may occur. Taploe may correct errors, cancel orders, adjust information or reject purchases when an obvious error or incorrect information exists. If payment has already been made and Taploe cancels the order due to a site-attributable error before production or configuration begins, the paid amount may be refunded.
28. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by applicable law, Taploe is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, lost revenue, lost data, lost opportunities, lost customers, business interruption, reputational damage or any consequence arising from the use of or inability to use products or services. Taploe's total liability, if any, is limited to the amount actually paid by the customer for the specific product or service that caused the claim.
29. Indemnification and force majeure
The customer agrees to indemnify and hold Taploe harmless from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, expenses or costs arising from misuse of the site or services, customer-provided content, violation of third-party rights, unauthorized use of brands, images or data, false or illegal information, breach of these Terms or claims related to profiles or data managed by the customer.
Taploe is not responsible for failures, delays or breaches caused by events outside its reasonable control, including natural disasters, fires, floods, power failures, internet failures, strikes, pandemics, government restrictions, supplier closures, logistics issues, carrier failures, material shortages, cyberattacks, wars, unrest or any force majeure event.
30. Communications
Taploe may contact the customer by email, phone, WhatsApp, messages, platform, website or any channel provided by the customer. Electronic communications are valid for confirmations, approvals, notices, quotes, changes, support, billing, tracking and notifications related to an order or service.
31. Changes to these Terms
Taploe may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The current version will be available on the website. Continued use of the site, platform, products or services after changes are published means acceptance of the updated version.
32. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the United Mexican States unless another jurisdiction is indicated in a contract, quote or specific agreement. For international operations, shipments outside Mexico or customers located in other countries, additional provisions may apply according to the relevant jurisdiction.
